At the end of December 2018, Safe Haven's team received a call about two donkeys at a petting zoo which were looking quite neglected. On visiting, we found that the donkeys were quite thin and had horrendously overgrown hooves and bad teeth. The manager of the zoo agreed to surrender them to Safe Haven and so Solomon and Amelia as we called them came to Safe Haven where they were immediately seen by the vet and farrier to get them back on the road to good health.
