As you’ll see below, I’ve included some wonderful new photos from the Sanctuary.
Unfortunately the awfully wet weather has continued in Israel (as it has in the UK) and created some challenging conditions at the Sanctuary with muddy paddocks. Our main concern is keeping the donkeys’ hooves clean and dry to prevent disease.
We’re planning to continue our renovation work at the Sanctuary next week and this will include more drainage to improve the flooded areas in the paddock.
I’m sorry to say I still don’t have any further news of our Gaza aid package. We know it is still waiting at the Rafah crossing and will of course update you as soon as we have more news.
News from the Sanctuary
The donkeys are very photogenic – and they really do love having their photos taken. Here’s Soloman, on the left, who is 12 years old, and Amelia who is 9 years old. They are companions ♥️
The donkeys are very inquisitive (and possibly wondering if the photographer has any carrots!) Here they are lining up for a group shot.
The excessive rain has created problems with drainage but we plan to start work next week so we can to keep the donkeys dry and clean.
Here’s Mickey looking like a wise older gentleman. He’s 19 years old now and has his 20th birthday coming up in April.
Meanwhile Ali was busy handing out carrots. As usual Nader and Be’eri were very keen to be first in the queue.
Ali makes sure that everyone gets some treats – here’s Salma.
And cheeky little Nader!
Thank you!
We hope this update has helped to show you how your donations are helping donkeys in desperate need – thank you for your support!

Can you help us?
Our hay store area fell victim to the recent heavy rain! The area flooded and spoiled some of the hay that provides vital feed to our donkeys. Will you give £3 to help us replace our store with fresh, dry hay? Thank you!
