This week, we’re delighted to bring you an update from our mobile veterinary teams operating in the West Bank. As you will see their tireless work significantly improves the health and well-being of working donkeys in the villages and towns that we visit.
All of this is only possible thanks to your support. You are helping to ensure our vet teams can make regular visits to remote villages where veterinary care would otherwise be scarce or unaffordable for the communities caring for their animals.
News from the West Bank
Dr Rakan and Wael visited a village called Beit Imrein earlier this week, a 45km drive from their base in Nablus. During their clinic they were able to help 11 animals, including the donkeys shown below.
Dr Omran and Ali are our newest vet team in the West Bank, providing veterinary support to animals in remote areas of the Jordan Valley. Key to their work is helping shepherd donkeys, like this one in a village called Al Jeftlick.
Dr Omran provided veterinary care and a nose band to this working donkey (above).
Our Hebron team, headed up by Dr Eyed and Ahmad, visited a village called Al Ramadein where they treated 12 animals.
