Thanks to your support, our three mobile vet teams have been tirelessly helping donkeys, mules, and horses in the West Bank this week. Despite the challenges of travel in the West Bank, they always go above and beyond to provide care.
Dr Rakan has sent us these photos to show the impact of your support, so we hope you enjoy seeing how the lives of donkeys, mules and horses are improving.
Thank you for making a difference.

News from the West Bank
Our mobile vet teams in the West Bank cover a vast area to help so many donkeys, mules and horses. The other week Dr Rakan and Wael visited a group of horses to provide veterinary care.
This pregnant mare desperately needed treatment
Dr. Rakan immediately set to work to help this pregnant mare. She was in the last months of her pregnancy and was generally weak from a nutrient imbalance. Unfortunately this had caused her to stumble and hurt her eye. It was clear urgent treatment was needed.
Dr Rakan provided a thorough examination of the pregnant mare
The team gave her much-needed intravenous medication, including fluids, vitamins and minerals. Dr Rakan will check in with the owner soon, to see how the mare is doing.
Wael also assisted as the horse received intravenous support.
When our vet teams are out on the road they see other local animals too – here we can see some dogs hanging out near Dr Rakan’s car! We’re pleased to say they were very healthy and just looking for company.

One of the simplest solutions to a common problem is providing covers for chain harnesses. These soft, cushioning covers help prevent nose wounds our teams often seen amongst working donkeys and horses in the West Bank.
The covers are very kindly made for us by supporters in the UK and in the West Bank, and help to protect sensitive noses.

Thank you ♥️♥️
It’s only with your help we are able to improve the lives of working donkeys, mules and horses in the West Bank, Gaza and Egypt. You’re also helping to fund our hospital in Nablus in the West Bank and care for our rescue donkeys in Arrana, as well as our donkeys at our sanctuary in Israel.
Your support not only helps to fund our mobile vet teams but also care for rescue donkeys at our sanctuaries in Israel and the West Bank. Here you can see Gali showing off her beautiful, gleaming teeth.
