Ivy, who only has one eye, was about 7 years old when she was brought to our Jbara rest station at the beginning of July as her owner no longer wanted her.

Shimi was about 7 years old when he was brought to us on 21 July 2017. Shimi’s owners had rescued him some years previously but due to family health issues were no longer able to keep him.
Rudolph was about 2 years old when he was brought to the sanctuary as a stray on 16 August 2017. He was fit and healthy apart from a huge wound to his rump. Needless to say, this was immediately treated by our vet and is already healing.
Purser was about 3 years old when he was brought to Safe Haven as a stray at the end of July 2017.
Salma was found in June 2015 in a forest near the Palestinian city of Qalqilya. The vet thinks she was about 3 years old at the time and she was in a bad way with a huge wound on her back which had formed an abscess but this soon healed with some loving care. Now,
Gavin was about 3 years old when he was found as a stray in September 2015 and brought to our clinic in the Palestinian city of Qalqilya, from where he was transported to our sanctuary.
Star was only a few weeks old when she was found as a stray in November 2015 and brought to our clinic in the Palestinian city of Qalqilya, from where she was transported to our sanctuary.
Kathy was about 3 months old when she was brought to our clinic in the Palestinian city of Nablus in October 2016 after been found wandering the streets as a stray.
Melanie was only about 3 months old when she was found in October 2016, abandoned and tied up in the streets of Nablus. Thankfully she was brought to our clinic in the city.
Safe Haven were asked to take Shirley-June and two other donkeys in by a local family. At the time she was brought into the sanctuary on 5 January 2017, Shirley-June was about 3 months pregnant.
