Safe Haven is delighted to welcome another Patron to the group of respected animal advocates who support the charity’s work, namely Kay Burley, acclaimed British television broadcaster and journalist.
Ms Burley, who is a founder member and current presenter on Sky News as well as being an animal lover with a particular fondness for donkeys, joins Royal Patron HRH Princess Alexandra, and Patrons the Earl of Stockton, the Rt Hon Ann Widdecombe, Julie Burchill, Des Lynam, Anthony Head and Peter Egan.
Safe Haven Chair of Trustees, Andy Foxcroft said: “For a respected journalist like Kay to agree to become a Patron of our charity is wonderful. Her support will really help us bring our work with donkeys, mules and horses in desperate need across Israel and the Palestinian Territories to a wider audience. We are so pleased to welcome Kay to the Safe Haven team.”
Ms Burley said “I love donkeys and am honoured to become a patron for Safe Haven – a British charity which works so hard to help these humble beasts of burden in very difficult circumstances. I look forward to working with everyone.”
