Life at Safe Haven has been very busy over the last few weeks. At our Rescue Centre in the West Bank, we’ve been building a wall around the shelter to prevent flooding during the winter months.
Our mobile vet clinics in the West Bank continue to operate, despite road blocks across the area making travel difficult. Despite this, we’re delighted to share updates from our three vet teams today, showing how they are able to provide crucial veterinary care for so many working equines.
News from the West Bank
Dr Rakan, Wael and Nour have been travelling out to remote areas over the last few weeks. This has included a visit to Methaloun in Jenin where they were able to treat 10 working animals.
Dr Omran and Ali have visited various locations, including running a mobile vet clinic in Al Burj and Ras Al Ratrout in the Jordan Valley.

Thank you ♥️♥️
t’s only with your help we are able to improve the lives of working donkeys, mules and horses in the West Bank, Gaza and Egypt. You’re also helping to fund our hospital in Nablus in the West Bank and care for our rescue donkeys in Arrana, as well as our donkeys at our sanctuary in Israel.
Thanks to your support we were able to provide veterinary care and a new soft head collar to replace the chains. We can only do this with your help – thank you so much for caring.
