Since the ceasefire in Gaza was announced our team has begun working in areas previously inaccessible. This is a relief for the many animals in desperate need of veterinary care.
Dr Saif told us: “words cannot fully convey the devastation and heartbreak we encountered there. But we are here to heal what once seemed impossible to heal.”
Many animals perished due to the war, while others are in dire need of veterinary treatment. Our remarkable team are determined to provide first aid to as many animals as they can.
Today we bring you an update from Gaza, along with recent photos of their work.
We hope you feel proud of the part you play in helping to deliver this vital first aid to donkeys, horses and other animals.

News from Gaza
Dr Saif told us:
“Animals in north Gaza have been suffering. These places have been inaccessible until now, and It’s tragic to see animals foraging for food in rubbish dumps, something never seen before the war.”
We aim to help more animals in the coming weeks, as our mobile team start to visit new areas since the ceasefire.
We are committed to helping deliver first aid to as many animals as we can. Our team are working tirelessly in Gaza and as soon as our shipment of animal food and meds arrive, our team will ramp up their support to provide even more care for animals in need.

It’s only with your help we are able to improve the lives of working donkeys, mules and horses in the West Bank, Gaza and Egypt. You’re also helping to fund our hospital in Nablus in the West Bank and care for our rescue donkeys in Arrana, as well as our donkeys at our sanctuary in Israel.
Our Gaza team – Jyhad, Dr Sulamman, and Mohammed – headed up by Dr Saif are funded by your donations. Thank you so much.
