At the end of 2023, Safe Haven Patron, actor and animal activist Peter Egan visited our project in the El Saf brick kilns of Egypt, to see for himself how our team are caring for the donkeys that toil ceaselessly pulling cartloads of bricks to and from the kilns.
What he found there distressed him, moved him but ultimately left him with hope for the future.
Andrew Telling of Orange Planet Pictures has made a short but powerful film about Peter’s visit and with Peter and Andrew’s permission, we are proud to include this on our website.
